Life can be stressful. From the day-to-day tasks, both personally and professionally, sometimes it can feel impossible to keep up with it all and, most importantly, relax. For many people, this stress continuously builds and leads to feelings of unease. You are not alone. A 2018 YouGov poll by Mental Health Foundation found that 74% people have felt so stressed in the last year they have been overwhelmed or unable to cope*. Burnout resulting from chronic stress was officially recognized as a disease by the World Health Organization in 2019. Additionally, stress also has a negative impact on your immune system, reducing your body’s ability to fight off infections.
Whether you suffer from occasional or chronic stress, the following 5 strategies can help you find calm when practiced regularly.
- Develop a morning ritual
- Focus on Gratitude
- Distance yourself from Energy Vampires
- Notice Internal Judgements
- Cultivate your body’s innate Capacity to Heal
- Other Healthy Strategies
Develop a morning ritual
Set your alarm clock 30-60 minutes earlier than usual to focus on preparing your mind and body for the day ahead. This could include meditation, exercising, yoga, or affirming your personal goals. Really, anything that helps you center and balance yourself…not catching up on e-mails or household chores! This may be tough at the beginning, but over time, this will be a natural part of your daily routine.
Focus on Gratitude
When we’re going through a stressful time in our lives, it can be easy to begin focusing on what’s going wrong at the expense of everything that’s going well. Finding a moment of stillness each day to reflect on the things that we are grateful for, or looking forward to, can help restore a balanced perspective on our daily life.
Distance yourself from Energy Vampires
Energy vampires are people or situations that intentionally or unintentionally drain your emotional energy. It’s important to set boundaries and become comfortable with saying no or removing yourself from these energy draining situations. This does not mean having a lack of empathy, it simply means taking back control in managing our energy levels so that we can be our best for ourselves and others.
Notice Internal Judgements
Often times, the harshest criticism we face is self-inflicted. Nothing leads to feelings of stress and unease like constant internal self judgement. Pay attention to your thought patterns and ask yourself what you would tell a friend if you heard them saying this about themselves. Be as kind to yourself as you would be to others.
Cultivate your body’s innate Capacity to Heal
Our bodies are powerful. Their innate capacity to heal and sustain themselves is incredible. We, however, need to cultivate this by supporting the natural functions of our body. Whether making sure that you’re drinking enough water each day or powering your body’s processes through our range of Healist Advanced Naturals products, it’s important to nurture and give your own body the attention it deserves so that it can function as it should.
Healist Advanced Naturals offers a range of products that include a blend of U.S. grown, organic broad spectrum CBD + clinically backed active natural ingredients designed to help you cope with signs of stress and unease.*

Other Healthy Strategies
Apart from ensuring you get the sufficient 7 to 8 hours of sleep of night, it’s also important to practice consistent stay-healthy strategies throughout the season. This includes consistently washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoiding large gatherings or close contact with people who are feeling sick, and getting an annual flu shot.
And it’s good to remember that even if you do come down with a cold or the flu, your body will be able to recover much faster if you are well rested.
